    I have a PIII laptop with 256MB of RAM running XP. Would it be possible to rig this thing as an extender for my Media Center PC? If so, what would I need to make it possible?

    Mully, you can leave your PC in the lounge and use the XBOX to have a MCE in your bedroom, or any other room in your house. Basically, you can have the PC anywhere and the XBOX anywhere as long as there is a decent network connection between the 2. Obviously if your MCE is currently setup in your lounge...

    How does an xbox work as an extender? I have my media center set up and beautifully wired in my lounge. If I wanted to get an Xbox to extend my media center to my bedroom, does that mean the Xbox would have to go in the bedroom or I would have to move my media center?

I've been using a standard XBOX extender for over a year now, and although it works really well for TV etc, the interface looks very clunky compared to the real MCE interface...
