    MCE tweaks

    Hi,

just wondering whether anyone can shed any light on tweak available for Vista MCE?

    • be able to keep your TV running when playing games (by games i mean the windows games)?
    • import your updated/newly downloaded games into the MCE interface?
    • tweak the channel changing to make it a bit faster and more responsive (mainly when using program up & down)

    thanks a lot.....

    Hi Grant

    To answer your points:

    • you can reduce the MCE interface to a window and run the games alongside in another window
    • The only way to display the new/updated games is if the developer registers the game in the MCE interface as part of the installation/update process. If not, you need to go through a whole major process to register the app and this can get messy.
    • To tweak the channel changing speed have a look at this post on TGB: http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/post/90221.aspx
      • I found with my Dualview decoder that setting keyinterval, keyduration and channelpause to 50 and my decoder changes channels very quickly. Anything lower and the decoder become very confusedBig Smile I think these times should also work with the DSD990 single view. I am not sure about the PVR and the newer 1110 single view decoder

    I hope this helps

    Regards

had a look at these settings and it doesn't seem to make a difference really... i take it the buffer is just something you gotta deal with... thanks anyway...
