    Manually updating EPG

I have bad news. I have moved house (good news) but I have lost my internet connection. The problem is that I installed my EPG from MCEguide.co.za, or so I think. I have been running my rig for ages without a glitch. It updates itself and has been cruising for months. So along with that I have had no need to tinkle and do manual updates and now find myself in that exact predicament.

I have downloaded an XMLTV file, but don't know what to do with it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Why not use your cellphone as a modem and do a guide update perhaps once a week?

It will be far easier and hassle free than fiddling around with XMLTV and QuickGuide.

    Re: Manually updating EPG

Sounds like a good idea, now just to work out how to do it. I will have to read my phones manual. I see that I get 3G coverage where I stay and I have one of those PCi cards and an HSDPA card. I am sure my nokia 6110 navigator will do it fine.

    Cheers
