    QuickGuide EPG : Missing giude access

    Weird problem: My QuickGuide EPG worked fine for 8 months now. This month, after installing, the guide button is no longer there. The title bar still shows the new info and my series scheduling records fine. Does anyone have an idea? Also:Next year it’s Vista time, does anyone know if and how the EPG will change? I’m willing to help with the dev if necessary.

    Hi,

    Copy the below to a .reg file and merge it to your registry...

    REGEDIT4

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\EPG]
    "TOSAgreed"=dword:00000001

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Settings\ProgramGuide]
    "fAgreeTOS"=dword:00000001
    "fAgreeEPGPrivacy"=dword:00000001
    "fGetEpgData"=dword:00000001
    "fEpgDataAvailable"=dword:00000001
    "fUsageTracking"=dword:00000000

    This should enbale the guide in the menu again.

    Hope it helps!

    I don't really know what causes this...  Never actually ever had it happen to me - I just thought it might be the registry keys that got mixed up.  Glad the fix helped you though.  :-)
