    DSTV PVR Remote Learning

    I have a DSTV DualView PVR connected to a Media Center PC (Mecer Xhibitor).

    When I set up the channels the Media Center picks up the signal from the PVR remote but says that it can't learn it for some reason. Is there anything I can do to get it to learn the remote?

     It is driving me crazy!!!!

    it doesnt matter what you do, it is not gonna work.

    As far as I know the dstv pvr uses totally non-standard ircodes, so a mecer xhibitor, or a home built mce machine or whatever isnt going to control it properly.

    you anger should be directed at dstv:-)

    Thanks for the info. I figured that there must be something like an incompatibility issue with it.

    Anyone know if there a work around?

    If not anyone want to buy a DSTV PVR?

    DSTV Sucks!!!
